This was the first ADHD book I read when our family was starting that journey. I listened to the audiobook first and then ran out to buy a copy. It's one of my favorites, and a great starting point if you like audio. What I loved was its positive starting point. In the middle of homework battles, lost jackets, endless energy, and calls from school, it can help to pause and notice what's working. There is a fascinating brain there, with creativity, intuition, big-picture thinking, and so much heart. That perspective mirrors how I approach coaching. I also appreciated the ideas about routines, connection, homework, and exercise. I know how easy it is to get excited about a strategy and then lose it in everyday life. Coaching gives us space to work through those ideas and make them personal, so they become small, meaningful changes for your family.
